Retail Member Application

Instructions

Please review the member criteria below. Chose the appropriate member type and your yearly sales volume and complete the application.

A formal membership application must be submitted and a site visit by BLD Connection is required prior to approval of membership. Membership is determined by the criteria listed below and is subject to review by the Membership Committee and the BLD Connection Board of Directors at any time.

Retail Member Criteria

Business must be in operation for one year and/or 12 months prior to application for membership.
Have the physical facilities to house reasonable and representative inventories of lumber and building materials.
Maintain regular business hours (i.e. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with the necessary staff to serve such customers who may be attracted to your store.
Have a conspicuously placed sign which designates your place of business as a retail lumber and building material entity.
Have inventories of lumber, plywood, and building materials commensurate with the demands of the community.
Have suitable building materials displays, samples, & literature in evidence.
Have delivery equipment commensurate with industry standards to operate the facilities, including but not limited to: delivery trucks, forklifts, saws, etc.

Affiliate Member Criteria

Business must be in operation for one year and/or 12 months prior to application for membership.
Is a retailer specializing in a limited number of product categories of building products and having inventories commensurate with the demands of the community.
Have the physical facilities to house reasonable and representative inventories of lumber and building materials.
Maintain regular business hours (i.e. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with the necessary staff to serve such customers who may be attracted to your store.
Have a conspicuously placed sign which designates your place of business as a retail lumber and building material entity.
Have suitable building materials displays, samples, & literature in evidence.
Have delivery equipment commensurate with industry standards to operate the facilities, including but not limited to: delivery trucks, forklifts, saws, etc.

Retail - Multiple Location members are independent lumber dealer yards within the BLD Connection membership region who have more than one location.

Affiliate

Affiliate members are specialty retail building material retail stores within the BLD Connection membership region, that sell 2-3 product lines (i.e. window/door retailer, deck store, etc.).
