Minnesota’s new Paid Leave law goes into effect soon, bringing important changes for both employers and employees. 

Beginning January 1, 2026, Minnesota’s new Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) program will take effect, providing nearly all employees in the state with paid time off and additional job protections to care for themselves or their loved ones.
